Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 2026-05-29

These terms govern the snow-removal services provided by Central Neige (Central Neige). By signing a plan or using our services, you accept the conditions described below.

1. Services Offered

Central Neige provides residential and commercial snow removal, including:

  • Clearing of driveways, walkways and parking lots (asphalt or pavers)
  • Manual shoveling of stairs, sidewalks and emergency exits
  • Automatic SMS notifications before and after each pass

2. Service Area

Our services are offered exclusively within the City of Longueuil (Vieux-Longueuil, Saint-Hubert, and Greenfield Park boroughs). Neighbouring cities (Boucherville, Brossard, the unmerged Saint-Lambert) are not covered.

3. Contracted Season

The standard season runs November 1 through April 15 inclusive. If significant snowfall occurs outside those dates and an active plan is in place, service is provided at no extra charge.

4. Trigger Threshold

Automatic snow removal triggers at 5 cm or more of snow on the ground. For lesser accumulations, no pass is performed unless specifically requested by the client (billed separately).

5. Service Timelines

  • Residential: pass within 4 to 6 hours after the precipitation ends.
  • Commercial: complete clearing before the business opening time, or in the window negotiated at contract.
  • Major storms (40 cm+): timelines may extend by 1 to 2 hours for fleet safety. No surcharge.

6. Payment

The seasonal plan is payable in a single installment at signing or in scheduled installments per agreement. Accepted: credit card, Interac e-Transfer, cheque. Any payment over 30 days late may result in service suspension without notice.

7. Cancellation and Refunds

The plan can be cancelled before November 1 for a full refund. After that date, cancellations are processed pro-rata for completed passes, less a $75 administrative fee.

8. Liability and Insurance

Central Neige maintains full liability insurance covering potential property damage (asphalt, pavers, landscaping, fences) arising from service.

Before the first snowfall, the client is responsible for identifying fragile elements (decorative markers, low light fixtures, flower beds, etc.) with visible stakes. Damage to unmarked items may be excluded from coverage.

Our total liability is limited to the amount paid for the current plan. We are not liable for indirect losses (loss of use, business interruption, etc.).

9. Force Majeure

In case of extreme storm, widespread mechanical breakdown, road restriction or other force majeure event, Central Neige reserves the right to reasonably extend service timelines without breaching the contract.

10. Personal Information

Personal information processing is governed by our Privacy Policy, compliant with Quebec Law 25.

11. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec and applicable federal laws of Canada. Any dispute will be brought before the competent courts of the Longueuil judicial district.
